odds & ends

Happy almost April! I am so excited for the upcoming month. I have an engagement session this Saturday, head shots with a fabulous actor/musician/hair stylist next Monday, a few miscellaneous shoots and my first wedding of 2010 - this month is going to rock!

And to top it all off, Rick and I are heading to Lansing, Michigan for the first week of May for a whole 7 days of no work and I can't wait. While we're in Michigan I am attending the Gray Photography Workshop  for one full day of classroom and on-location shooting and then a half a day of business goodness :). I have read countless online articles, magazine articles and books and am thrilled to get to learn from one of the industry leading wedding photographers! And to add to that, we're going to the casino in Detroit for a day and spending one of the days shopping in Ann Arbor - ahhh, relaxation!

Oh yeah! Prepare yourself for the big grand reveal of my new website which should be finished by the end of April if not sooner. It pretty much rocks. Seriously. If you're looking into building your own flash website, I highly recommend Showit Sites - I mean, if I can figure it out, pretty much anyone can :)

So there is a quick update on me, Full Bloom and the exciting things to come this month. I'll leave you with a few photos that I snapped on a walk with my puppy a week or so ago.

cora: "dis?"

I spent the afternoon today with my sister-in-law and precious niece. We took a trip to downtown Olmsted Falls (so cute! can't wait to set up an engagement session there) and let Cora play in the park for a little bit. She's at such a fun age right now and everything...EVERYTHING she sees she points and says "dis?" aka "this?" She is the cutest, hands down. Here are just a few snapshots from the day.

On our way to the park...pretty brown eyed girl :)

Crumbs Cupcakes

I have been drooling over these cupcakes for the better half of today and want to put it all on the line. If any of my current or future clients decide to bring Crumbs Cupcakes to a session, you will officially be my all. time. favorite. And being my favorite comes with perks :)

Just sayin'.

Jason & Danielle: Maternity Session

Meet Jason and Danielle, the expectant parents of a sweet baby girl! They are such a beautiful couple and so in love. It was so fun to feed off of their energy and excitement for their relationship and their little girl. Their love for one another is so evident and the look that Jason would give Danielle when I was taking photos of just her was so sweet and it took just about everything I had not to comment on it because I didn't want to (a) ruin the moment and/or (b) embarrass Jason :). I hope that you cherish these photos Danielle and Jason, I had a blast working with you! ... Oh, and P.S., these photos have officially given me baby fever again.

Summer Lovin'?

Okay - I know, I know. It's only March in Cleveland - but heck, these last few days feel like Spring is about to turn into Summer and I am lovin' it! I got out of work today and the 65 degree temperatures were calling me outdoors, so I took my sweet beagle for a walk and snapped a few photos - ahhhhh, sunlight and warmth :)

Chun Family: Lots of Sh's!

Meet the Chun Family! Four very active kiddos and two awesome parents. Trying to get their names straight during this shoot was quite the challenge, get a load of this:

Sheldon
Shannon
Sheldon, Jr.
Shelby
Shayden
Shanden

I'm pretty sure that since I was able to keep that straight, I'm good to go! I had so much fun doing these photos. I work with Shannon and sadly, she is leaving our company and moving back to her hometown in Pennsylvania...Typing that last sentence got me all teary eyed! Shannon is one of the kindest people I have ever met and she has such a way about her that makes you want to know her more. She is so funny and her constant humor has gotten me through those 9 to 5 days that seem almost unbearable at times. She is my partner in crime and she will be truly missed.

Anyway, enough of the sappy stuff. I wanted to take some family photos for her to decorate her new home with and boy did we luck out with a perfect day. March in Cleveland is never very pretty but this Sunday was beautiful - nearly fifty degrees and sunny. So Chun family, I wish you all of the best in your move and hope that when these photos are hung on your wall, your new house will really feel like home.
