there ain't no business like (photo) business

Last night I attended the business portion of the Gray Photography Workshop series here in Michigan...and let me tell you...I have completely and fully fallen in love with the business side of photography. I always knew that I loved photography, loved the people, the art, the reaction that you get from providing clients with amazing photos that capture who they are...but when it came to the business end of it, and making a business constantly thrive not just remain stagnant, I was clueless. I feel completely armed with everything I need to know and do, to rock it out and be successful. Be 100% me and nothing more or less because there isn't another me doing what I do. And I am so excited. When we get home from vacation I am going to schedule two evenings a week where I  get out of work, drive on over to Starbucks, sip a cherry dark chocolate mocha frapp and work on my business. Build my business. And never, ever stop growing.

I'll leave you with two more photos from the in-camera & post workshop from sunday...

PS - I absolutely adore Zach and Jody Gray. They are amazing people who are so generous, kind, talented and passionate. I couldn't possibly put a price tag on attending their workshops - they were a wealth of knowledge and my business and photography will be forever changed by simply meeting and spending time with them. Thanks you two, you rock!
